Running back Rashard Mendenhall is nominated for the NFL’s FedEx Ground Player of the Week for the first week of the NFL season.

Mendenhall rattled off a game-winning 50-yard touchdown in overtime as the Steelers defeated the Atlanta Falcons 15-9 at Heinz Field.

Mendenhall finished the afternoon with 22 carries for 120 yards.
